Choosing the right commercial premises in which to base your letting agency can be critical to its success. At Martin & Co we recognise this and a dedicated Premises Manager travels throughout the UK, working with new franchisees. The Premises Managers time and expertise is included in the franchise package.

We have found that franchisees who trade from shop front premises from day one benefit from a much higher level of enquiries from both landlords and tenants compared to businesses that trade from serviced offices. The improvement is so marked, that despite higher costs, we know that projected profitability will be maximised. In fact, we no longer support business launches from anything but shop front premises.

As part of the roll out process for a new franchise, there is a step-by-step guide including timescales to ensure that the premises search and shop fit run as smoothly as possible.

To ensure consistent branding, a detailed shop-fit specification is followed so that each Martin & Co office throughout the UK benefits from being recognised on the high street.

A typical shop is around 500 sq ft and costs around £15,000 (net) to fit. (Items such as fixtures and fittings, signage, IT and telecoms are not included; however some of these items can be leased through finance arrangements.)
